Gillette Masters of Style – Sell Out Spotlight

Do you have style? If so, could you use more? Of course you could. Everyone knows that we at FleshEatingZipper, with our varied crop of crops, would’ve been perfect for Gillette’s new ad campaigns on how much style matters, but I guess our secrets will probably never be known as Gillette decided not to do spots with us. But we know some people who might be good replacements…

At FleshEatingZipper, we want to get you to the content, not pages filled with pop-unders and confusing links that are really ads. To do that, we show love to our sponsors because they keep us up and running. As such, Gillette sent us a trio of new ads about style, because hair is style. From chromed domes to goatees, we have intimate connections with our blades. Like millions of other kids who registered for selective service at 18 (the draft, remember?), Gillette sent me a Mach 3 razor with a few blades and I’ve been a customer ever since.

But Gillette has stars and we are, sadly, not stars. If I must ask anyone about Authenticity, it must be Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody, star of BrodyQuest. (Also: The Pianist, the movie he actually won an Oscar for.) What about Andre 3000? Hey Ya!… want some shaving products? I kinda hoped they’d let him rap through his spot. Gael Bernal is… uhh, hang on… well, he seems cool enough. But you don’t need to take our word for it, just listen to these guys, they pay our bills. Not directly, but in a way. Men: it’s time to be passionate about shaving again. With their ProGlide Styler, you too can have style.
