You’ve clearly misread the article and our stance on this. We were not agreeing with the individual’s criticism of the trailer. This is where the communications broke down.

You apparently think we support the negative view. I thought it was pretty clearly stated that the critic seems to have mistaken a fantasy based commercial for serious business.

Also, we are now using the Facebook comment system so I am thinking your comments may not appear.

I’ll try one more time. One is a video game that adults play. The other is a commercial to actually recruit people to shoot and kill others on the battlefield. The video game gets a pass because it’s a VIDEO GAME. The military does not get a pass for it’s glorification of being a soldier. Have you ever been to a ROTC workshop? Watched recruitment videos in a recruitment office? You’d understand then.

Yeah, the Marine ones are pretty elaborate, but most of the rest of them are actually reflective of their actual jobs. Otherwise, I still don’t know what your criticism.

MW3 ad teaches how to play a video game, not fight in a war. I understand that and I think the average person does too. If I wanted to learn how to actually kill people and be killed, I would join the armed forces and not sit at home playing a video game.
