If they open it up to have the same Open OS format as WoW does allowing Mac players to play (without having to use parallels etc), then I would play in a heartbeat. Problem is, people always fall back on the "it costs so much to develop in that OS - Mac is only 20% of the market anyway" BS.
Well... WoW has 10-11 million subscribers.... if SWTOR had only 1,000,000 subscribers and 20% were Mac subscribers.... at $15..... that's $3,000,000. Would you turn down $3 Million?

The only thing that's really pissing me off atm about swtor is the lack of racials. A few losers cried about it in beta and so now each race has a special emote, why bother having a race choice at all, lets all b humans. So that alone atm is making me think long and hard about whether or not i want to play it.

I'm sorry but, as I stated, there's an embargo. If I have or have not been in the beta doesn't matter because I can't TELL you. That's what an embargo means. If anyone breaks that embargo, good luck them ever getting anything to preview again.

The overarching issue is that Keith's article and my article SHOULD have been a single article, done cross-fire style. Unfortunately the system broke down a little, on our end and it didn't happen that way. By the time I realized that my part hadn't been added, it was too late because at least 14.6 people had already read the article.

Shit happens.

As much as I would like to jump on your opinion piece bandwagon and give it props I found it just as un informative as Keiths, you have titled your article a bunch of reasons you shouldnt avoid TOR yet you go on to talk about.......keith, EA's rep, WOW and at the end a little blirb about what you have heard about or read so far.......... are you kidding me? Thousands have played the Beta, Are you telling me there is no one at Flesh eating Zipper that has actually tested TOR? Come on Rob, as a non op allow me to give you a bunch of reasons not to avoid TOR.........

first off its Starwars, second its by Bioware some of their previous success stories; baldur's gate, KOTOR, Mass Effect, dragon age, budget for the old republic 135 Million+ dollars invested in TOR, one of the largest videogames ever built it may be the largest! once we see the eventual expansions, Did I mention it is Starwars? Open world, over 200 hours of story alone...... fully voiced over, MMO, faction choice empire or republic, fully customizable characters, 8 known origin species with more available as prestige, each faction contains sub classes and distinct storyline, each class has a unique starship, and there will be space combat, Strong emphasis on story, did I mention you could be a bounty hunter? and that it is Starwars? crafting, PVE, PVP, More planets and storyline then 10 Kotor's combined back to back, hundreds of thousands of lines of dialogue, 19 major worlds at start with expansion worlds to follow. as someone who has beta tested TOR and played KOTOR 1 & 2 and Mass Effect 1 & 2 several times through each, the game mechanics are simular, same style storyline and game play, it felt like a nature progression to KOTOR and the fact that it is now unlimited, non linear, open world and that you can emerse yourself in the old republic experience for years on end, if you are a fan of the old republic francise, starwars or anything Bioware has released thus far this should be a no brainer.........

How is that for a bunch of reasons you shouldn't avoid the old republic, give Keith a kick in the groin for me, and please guys, try to do just a little bit of homework.

Well, as I said in response to a comment in Keith's article, his was a simple opinion piece, just as mine is. I am certain that just as many people disagree with me as with him. The only reason I'm not getting the hate is because mine isn't a stance that is contentious...I haven't said anything negative, which is what gets people riled up.

Unfortunately, many people see a contrary opinion as an attack against them because if someone else could believe something which is opposed to what they believe that means there's a chance that someone is "wrong" which plucks on the strings of self doubt and makes people get defensive. Then, of course, people immediately pull out the flame throwers because we're on the internet, by god, and how dare he think something that differs from what I believe.

It is what it is. An opinion. We all have them and, like the old adage says; mostly, they all stink.
