Android Games Aren’t Ready For A Handheld
The obvious advantages of handheld controls over a touch screen is the ability to throw a bunch of controls at the player and the responsiveness that allows. Unfortunately, since these games are designed with the touch screen’s disadvantages in mind, they feel slow or weird. Walking around in The Conduit was a slog and while all of the games they were showcasing (about half a dozen) had control schemes that worked with the controller, none of them made sense if you’ve ever played Xbox 360 games before.
