
I Need That New Android/iOS
The Galaxy Nexus was a particularly important milestone of a device because it was the first to release with Android 4.0, known as Ice Cream Sandwich. It represented an overhaul of the UI and a lot of things under the hood, helmed by Android designer Matias Duarte. It was beautiful and I needed it. When Jelly Bean released the last year, I needed that too. It took a few months on my Galaxy Nexus, but not having that core functionality and improvement was agonizing, especially as something got wrenched in a previous update and forced my phone to randomly reboot every few hours – a known issue.
