Bacon-Themed Restaurant Forced To Close Because Of Overwhelming Bacon

Bacon-Themed Restaurant Forced To Close Because Of Overwhelming Bacon

There is such a thing as too much bacon.

I’m with Maddox on this one: people have ruined bacon by loving it too much. Sure, the die-hards will claim their stake, but after Epic Meal Time increased their power levels with bacon strips and bacon strips (and bacon strips), it’s become more of a food cliche, which is the absolute worst fate a food can have. See: Krispy Kreme. Anyway. A San Francisco-based, bacon-themed restaurant has been forced to close because its bacon aroma was too intense for its neighbors. That, and it failed a health check last year.

FleshEatingZipper Opens A Second Minecraft Shard Featuring “Feed The Beast”

Feed that beast…FEED IT NOW!!!

That’s right. We’ve been running a vanilla Minecraft server for quite some time, but we had some issues with it because Kelly didn’t update it (N, slap him please. (Done! -N (Ow! -Kels))), but we have the updates installed and it is accepting connections again. For a while, we’ve looked a number of mods and thought about the possibility of installing a mod or two, but there’s one in particular that we got a huge push for last night so we decided to go ahead and install it. So now, we’ve opened up a second Minecraft shard and we’re bringing people on.

Thunder Wolves (PC) Review: Death From Above

Thunder Wolves (PC) Review: Death From Above

I found the game’s winch mechanic to be entirely underwhelming. I’m also kidding.

It’s been a while since we’ve had an arcade-style helicopter shooter, hasn’t it? Casting you as a variety of choppa’-flyin’, testosterone junkies in a story that spans from Iran-Contra and Gulf War I (although having little to do with either conflict), you blast your way through 13 levels of… well, bad dudes.

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Finds Final Frontier In Disappointing Opening Weekend

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Finds Final Frontier In Disappointing Opening Weekend

A charming new villain, a smaller take at the box office.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of J.J. Abrams new Trek adventure, but while my colleagues may disagree, it appears that not enough people came out to prove me wrong. As it turns out, Star Trek Into Darkness, even with ticket inflation and a massive marketing campaign, opened to a notably smaller box office take ($70.6 million, Friday-Sunday) than its predecessor ($75.2 million). Paramount had been expecting a $100 million purse.

Denis Dyack’s Response Can’t Save ‘Shadow Of The Eternals’ Now

Denis Dyack’s Response Can’t Save ‘Shadow Of The Eternals’ Now

About half a year too late.

It looks like Precursor Games was made and doomed the moment they brought on Denis Dyack, the former head of troubled Canadian studio Silicon Knights. They may have enlisted his expertise, but they also inherited all of his unresolved allegations and misjudgments. Make no mistake, though: Denis is being put on-stage to clear the air not because he wanted to, otherwise he would’ve done it on a more timely basis, but because Precursor’s Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter is doing terribly.

More Than Psy: A K-Pop Primer

More Than Psy: A K-Pop Primer

Jessica and Krystal Jung

“Oppan Gangnam style!” Ugh. Those words are enough to make me want to vomit. Being a very casual K-pop and J-pop fan for more than a few years, 2012 brought out the rabid fangirl in me when I (re)discovered SHINee. Months later, Psy would become world-famous and dreaded by K-pop fans around the globe. To some, this was their first exposure to Korean pop music. To others, it was just another song. To those of us already deeply entrenched, it became an annoying, dreadful hit. You see, it’s not easy to be a fan and have the whole genre judged by a gimmicky song and a ludicrous dance. It’s like someone deciding never to watch the original Star Wars because they started with The Phantom Menace. There’s a lot of great K-pop out there, but warned: the road to K-pop addiction is a long and lonely road, wrought with frustration, sleepless nights, heartbreak and anticipation.

‘American Mary’ Review: Tasteful Torture Porn

She doesn’t want to kill you, she just wants to split your tongue and cut your penis open. Wait…that’s actually a lot worse.

The sibling filmmaking duo of Jen and Sylvia Soska has done something interesting with their second feature: they’ve created a tasteful torture porn flick. Don’t get me wrong, American Mary is still a grotesque and disconcerting movie. It happens to have some redeeming qualities, however.
