Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is ruining my iPad experience. Like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the Nintendo DS (note to self: buy Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for iPad), RUA2 has subverted my playtime of a bunch of other games I’d bought the iPad for and intended to invest a lot of time into. In RUA2‘s defense, it’s fast and pretty and you can start over quickly so any unicorn-based failures you may have are quickly swept away and you just keep playing… and playing…

‘The Great Gatsby’ Review: It Only Touches the Surface
Gatsby must be as pissed off about Tobey Maguire’s narration as I am.
I suppose anyone setting out to adapt F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel is destined for failure. The Great Gatsby is one of those rare literary experiences that is simply too perfect to be adequately captured on the big screen. Still, Baz Lurhmann swings for the fences on this ambitious adaptation and he achieves some moderate success. Lurhmann has created a film that is both captivating and infuriating in equal measure.

Brayola Has ‘Fit Or Not’ Feature That Lets You Judge Bra Fits; I’m Not Joking
They let you decide!
I’m sure this came about because of some very professional women in a professional environment and not how you think it did. I know from experience that women complain about their bras. Wires poking places, things too tight other places, etc. It makes sense then that Brayola would introduce a feature to their apparel site called Fit or Not where you can judge whether or not the cups fit the cups properly.

Believe it or not, we cover a lot of Kickstarters here at FleshEatingZipper. It wasn’t really our intention, but we love the new and resourceful. We like movies to be made without commercial influence, we like our games to not be pinned down by publishers, we like weird stuff. We’re rebels. A few days ago, I put up an interview about Wish I Was Here and its Kickstarter campaign with Zach Braff done in service of Kickstarted, a new documentary about crowdfunding that already features interviews with Brian Fargo, Chris Roberts and others. In turn, I was able to have a few words with executive producer Jason Cooper about his Kickstarter campaign for Kickstarted and what he hopes it’ll pull off.

I Want The Original ‘XCOM’ Shooter Back
Crazy, weird, but not X-COM.
I love X-COM. I liked XCOM. I was weirded out by XCOM. Until now, the connection between 2K Marin’s XCOM and Firaxis’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown seemed tenuous, especially when the former’s involved people fragmenting into cubes and undulating tar blobs screaming through rooms, but the developer sat down and revealed what the heck they’ve been doing for the past three years in advance of August’s release of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that while they have technically made a better game in the end, they’ve also potentially made a far less interesting one.
