AT&T is Buying T-Mobile for $39 Billion
You might have heard the rumors last week that Sprint was looking to buy T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom which would really help Sprint because they are losing customers left and right. Well this is official, of course it still has to pass through the government but AT&T offered to buy T-Mobile USA for $25 billion in cash and $14 billion in stock.
So I Just Tried Installing IE9 And…
Yes, that is the first thing that I saw. Maybe it was because I was using Google Chrome to download it or maybe I sabotaged the install somehow. I restarted my computer, opened IE 8 and wen’t to the download site. This time instead of telling me to pick my version of Windows Vista either 32 or 64 bit, I was instead greeted by the download IE 9 for Windows 7 64 bit. Yay, that’s me! Netflix Might be Getting Original Programming
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Netflix might be getting original programming. Their sources say that Netflix has outbid several cable networks including HBO and AMC for a new drama series House of Cards. The new series would have at least 2 seasons with a total of 26 episodes directed by David Fincher starring Kevin Spacey who is also an executive producer. This is very sad news. Nate Dogg best know for the hit song Regulate passed away Tuesday night (August 19, 1969 – March 15, 2011). According to Nate Dogg’s manager and close friend Rod McGrew the passig could be related to strokes he suffered from in 2007 and 2008.
Turn SSL on for Twitter
I wrote a post a while back that you could finally turn on SSL while browsing Facebook. Twitter is no exception when it comes to securing logins and they finally allow you to turn on SSL for Twitter. The above screen shot is in your profile settings. Twitter also opted for an EV cert which makes the bar green like banks use, Facebook went on the cheap side.
