Skype Will Hire Nokia Engineers

Remember all those Nokia employee’s that walked out? Well they returned to work on Monday but it looks like there may be job cuts over a Nokia. Skype CEO Tony Bates told Yahoo “Our primary engineering focus just so happens to be somewhere between Finland, Estonia and Stockholm, so you can imagine that’s a great opportunity and we’re hiring.”

Also did I mention they were going to be commercial free? It looks like Hulu may have something to draw in more subscribers because The Criterion Collection’s website lets you stream these movies for $5 a pop or you can pay $7.99/month and watch them whenever you want.

So what movies can you expect to find in the collection? Read the rest of this article…

Apple is Being a Bunch of Dicks

When you buy an app for your iPhone, iPod or iPad 30% of the cost goes to Apple, this is how it’s always been and developers have been pretty okay with that. Now though Apple is taking that 30% and charging developers based on their subscriptions. What does that mean? Read the rest of this article…

Really? Screw You US Broadband Providers!

This just pisses me off. In Hong Kong you can get 1 Gbps internet access for only $26/month. I’ve always known that you can get faster internet access in other countries but I didn’t know they were so cheap. Read the rest of this article…

I Need to Start Playing Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Again

Every time I walk by my Xbox I want to jump into AC Brotherhood again. Not just because of the single player but the multi-player was pretty fun also. I was always nervous wondering when I was about to get shanked watching as every character was walking right at me or or close to me. One of the downsides to multi-player was the time it took to start a game because there was probably only a couple thousand people playing at any given time. Read the rest of this article…
