Rise of Nations Is The Best Real-Time Strategy Game Ever Made (EPIC VIDEO!)
I don’t need to waste a lot of text explaining why, I already prepared a delectable video for your viewing pleasure after the break!
Movie Review: Source Code [NOW WITH 30 SECOND VIDEO REVIEW!]
Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhall) comes to on a rolling train. The woman opposite him (Michelle Monaghan) thanks for him for the good advice. What good advice? Who is this girl? Within 8 minutes, he and the hundreds of others on their train are killed by the cascading explosion from a bomb in their cab. He awakens in a dark chamber where an Air Force official on a monitor (Vera Farmiga) prods him to go back. And so he does.
Sony Online Entertainment Consolidates, We Wonder Why It Didn’t Happen Years Ago
Before Minecraft, CityVille and World of Warcraft, there was another gaming sensation that we gathered over for our massively-multiplayer experiences: that game was EverQuest. My dad played the game from its beta in March of 1999 and for its time, it was an incredibly fun experience that also looked really good, too (it was one of the first PC games that required a 3D accelerator). Well, it seems that in light of the fact that Sony Online Entertainment never found a suitable replacement for the franchise, word is going out that three of their five studios and two hundred jobs are being nixed.
This Is The Most Awesome Game You Will Play Today
Did you ever play QWOP, one of the most difficult games ever created? Well, go ahead, try. We’ll wait. Then we’ll show you the (thankfully easier) follow up!
T-Mobile Can Eat A Dick: New Sidekick Blows
Dear T-Mobile, it’s not 2000 anymore. Tony Hawk is no longer popular, and Soulja Boy is an idiot. Therefore, despite the popularity of your Sidekick phone series, it makes little sense to the civilized man why the fuck you would continue this outright line of completely stupid phones.
Nick Plays Supreme Commander! …sorta. (VIDEO!)
Not much more to say about Supreme Commander than that. Maybe there’s a legit Rise of Nations video on the way someday…
Sprint Unveils Another Tablet That People Still Aren’t Going To Buy
Okay Sprint, we get it. The HTC EVO 4G was a pretty big deal last year — everyone just loved the powerfully thin phone with the 4.3″ screen, that it happened to be the your first phone to use your much-vaunted WiMax-based 4G network was a plus. You made the smaller EVO Shift to fill out the keyboard-needing market, but this year you decide that an EVO-branded future relies on a 3D cellphone (what?) and yet another tablet that will fail miserably against the iPad.
Between The Lines: Rebecca Black’s “Friday”
Between The Lines is a new feature in which we break down the true meaning of each new video we get our thick hands around. Our inaugural piece is the fantastic “Friday” by Rebecca Black, featured above. Read Between The Lines after the break!
Don’t You Remember Malls?
Y’know, there was a time when malls were bastions of activity — long before the internet, long before two or three store fronts were merged to form chintzy go-kart tracks. I feel sad when I walk into one of our local establishments and stare at the empty halls and store fronts with For Lease signs, but 21 years ago, Michael Galinksy set out to document the mall in its prime. What follows is a robust exhibit of a time that was and never will be again.
Not that we’ll miss malls – those hives of scum and villainy – but we can at least be nostalgic about them.

Beginning Of The End For Retail Gaming Releases?
Sure, the PSP’s been doing it for a while, but who cares about the PSP? And sure, the PC’s been doing it for a while, but everyone’s pirating their games or playing World of Warcraft. But with the NGP doing it — Sony’s promising next-gen portable that looks to shatter many of the reasons they’ve flubbed up with the PSP in the past — we see a redeemed effort to dislodge retail from holding back The Future Of Purchasing Games. Sony recently announced that when titles release at retail for their Next Generation Portable, they’ll release digitally on the same day. This obviously had some fight back from retail, who are trying to hold onto retail sales as long as possible and, in the recent case of Best Buy and the thrilling example of Gamestop, maintain a second-hand market for games as well. I could go on for days about how the industry’s conversion to full day-and-date physical and digital releases across all platforms will be better for all gamers (that’ll be another article), but this bodes well for the vision of a disc-less gaming future.
