No New Apple Products Until Fall Is A Bummer
Except not.
Apple is sitting on $146 billion. It’s a lot of money. It’s not all necessarily within arm’s reach and (now) a huge chunk of it is going to investors, to the tune of an additional $50 billion, but there was some bad news on Apple’s earnings call today. That they made less money year over year is simply a sign of their times, but the worst news came when Tim Cook announced they won’t have any new products until at least September. I’m not even an Apple fan, but yish.
Pizza Hut (Xbox 360) App Review: Yo Dog, Order Pizza Hut From Your Xbox
You want pepperoni in your pizza? Fine, whatever man!
Pizza Hut is no stranger to blending in with new gaming technology. In a move that will no doubt be mentioned in a thousand other Pizza Hut app announcements, they brought the /pizza command to Sony Online Entertainment’s EverQuest 2 nearly a decade ago, highlighting how lazy and fat gamers are, because of course. Sure, Pizza Hut isn’t the only chain pie maker with an app on various platforms. Sure, Pizza Hut doesn’t have Dominos’ famous Pizza Tracker. You know what Pizza Hut has? An app where you can order pizza through your console. Right on.
Jon Stewart Versus CNN Highlights What’s Wrong With 24-Hour News
I’m so glad I don’t have cable.
I’ve mentioned it before, but I was an MSNBC junkie. When even the smallest news-worthy event happened – usually something violent – John Gibson or whichever anchor was on-hand would stop whatever interview they were doing, they’d cut away with a Breaking News animation, and some new graphics would fly on screen to TL;DR us on the sitch. I thought it was incredibly interesting to watch, especially when I’d be tuned in for an entire afternoon at a time, but fifteen years later, I realize the necessity of the 24-hour news network is less and less as the internet brings us updates up to the minute, something we talked about on the last PRO SHO.
Did You Suffer From iPhone 4 “Antennagate” Issues? Expect Your $15 Check Soon!
Don’t you remember when iPhones only had four rows of buttons?
Remember Antennagate, the iPhone’s first big scandal? Okay, so it was a bit hyped up by the media (not us, obviously), but Apple wound up losing a $53 million lawsuit about the issue, which means that the complaints must have had some kind of merit, right? Well, now it’s time for Apple to start writing checks and if you made a claim, yours should be on its way!
‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 16 “Elimination #5”
Amy Fights With Tough Words, But How Can She Brush?
Has it seriously been a week and a half since the last controversial elimination? It sure has! This week has Maki and Amy squaring off in the theater, coming off their less-than-stellar Con table presentations. It’s not as controversial as the last elimination for sure, but there are plenty of cute moments here. Also, Cody has a surprise for us all!
PSA: Phoenix’s New Album – Bankrupt! – Is Out Today
It’s like a Starburst of music!
It’s been four years since Phoenix released Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, but it feels like it’s been that long since they announced the release date for their newest album, Bankrupt!, which is out today. Finally!
People Won’t Stop Watching Psy’s “Gentleman”, 205M Total Views In 9 Days
Psy: *something in Korean*
Everyone knows “Gangnam Style“. Everyone. Brought to us by obscure Korean rapper Psy – obviously not that obscure in his home country South Korea – his video was the first to produce a billion views on YouTube. He suffers no sophomore slump in views, but “Gentleman” is no “Gangnam Style”. Psy’s not complaining: he made $8 million-plus on “Gangnam Style” alone.
Gearbox Wins ‘Homeworld’ IP, Feelings Are Mixed
Fans took real good care of these games after they were pretty much abandoned by their publisher.
Back when Homeworld released in 2000, real-time strategy games were somewhere between Command & Conquer and StarCraft and not much further than that. Relic, who we know now for their Company of Heroes games, debuted with this ‘wagon train among the stars’ in which you must guide the survivors of your world’s destruction to their fabled homeworld of Hiigara. So, yes, Battlestar Galactica. After THQ’s collapse, the Homeworld IP was parted from both Relic and THQ and until today, had a mysterious new owner. It’s Gearbox, for better or worse.
The N5 Show: Week #17, 2013 – ‘Oblivion’ Spoilercast!
OBLIIIIVVVVIIIOOOOOONNNN…

We are incredibly thorough about this science fiction epic, so only give this a listen if you’ve already seen the film. Be sure to leave your comments in the Comments below!
‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Creates New Religion, Is Pretty Amazing
Give your mind. Give your wallet.
It just wouldn’t be a Grand Theft Auto game without a massive reservoir of well-produced satire tucked into its wings. GTAV is no doubt Rockstar’s biggest production to date (I can’t quantify this in any way, except to say it probably is), so it makes sense that in their incredible reproduction of Los Santos, they’d bring in one of the town’s wackier elements: a Scientology riff.
