E3 2013: Game Companies Need Better Swag, Here’s What They Need To Do

Unless you truly rely on conventions to fill out your wardrobe (I’ve done it!), you realize how useless these are. In theory, they’re cool, you can wear this particular gaming brand around and feel totally awesome in the fact that you’re wearing garb for a game that will be relevant for, chances are, not terribly long. Yeah, I’ve still got a S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl or Halo 2 shirt lying around, but those aren’t things you can wear these days. If you’re most people, you can’t wear those any days. It’s even better for companies to see people wearing these around, but they’re just a flag of dumb. When people stop wearing it, publishers will stop handing them out.
