Yarny Review: Not a Tangled Mess
Yarny is the best of many worlds for writers. I stumbled upon this program when looking at the list of companies that sponsor the annual writing event of National Novel Writing Month (lovingly called NaNoWriMo). I was looking for something that mixed the functionality of Growly Notes, Google Documents, and a regular word processor, but I wanted something that wasn’t distracting. Yes, I’m picky when it comes to my writing programs, which is why I rarely stick with one.
Galaxy Nexus Gets November 10th Release Date On Verizon?
Looks like some Verizon employee has decided his job isn’t worth it, because into our (well, collectively the internet’s) hands falls a release schedule of the network’s phones. Included is both our favored Droid RAZR and the new ultra-slick Galaxy Nexus, but something isn’t quite right here.
FleshEatingZipper’s Official Stance On Keith’s Article About Steve Jobs’ Funeral
We, at FleshEatingZipper, realize Keith’s article about being delayed at the Apple store due to observation of Steve Jobs’ funeral was insensitive, crass and unfunny.
Read on to find out what we’re going to do about it.
Lytro, The “Guitar Hero” Of Cameras
Usually, it takes several classes and experience on the field to understand how the camera functions. The same could be said about the guitar. So what exactly makes Lytro, the camera that promises “living pictures”, so much like the plastic accessory that was bundled with every Guitar Hero? Find out after the break!
Steve Jobs Funeral: An Inconvenience To Consumers
When was the last time a funeral service stopped you from walking into a store? The answer is probably never — unless you went to an Apple Store today. A private service for Steve Jobs was held this morning at the campus in Cupertino and all Apple Stores closed for 3 hours in honor. What about honoring the consumer, post mortum Steve Jobs? Just because you died, doesn’t mean everyone else has to suffer!
How-To Use Siri – A Quick Start Guide
I feel I need to write this article to balance out the hate for the iPhone among the staff at FleshEatingZipper, especially for Siri. Yes, I am the only one here that has an iPhone so I can be a fan boy all I want! The one thing Apple does really well is tells you that a feature exists without telling you how to use it so I thought I would put a guide together to help you along. Read the rest of this article…
Droid RAZR, Galaxy Nexus Team Up, Eat Apple’s Lunch
Look, I guess if you’re super into iOS, that’s fine. It’s a slick walled garden, but it’s still a walled garden. You may call me a hater because I would love me some Windows Phone goodness, but that’s a walled garden I could relate to better considering I’m not into the whole Apple thing. Today’s big Android announcements would’ve been exciting enough if they just showed off new phones, but they didn’t just do that, they unveiled the next major iteration of the OS that makes Apple’s recent 4S/iOS 5 releases look like minor, gimmicky updates in hardware and software. Is Siri the best you got, Apple? C’mon now.
Apple Fails To Meet Forecasts – Blames Rumors Of New iPhone
Apple Inc., creator of the iPhone series of cellular telephones, Siri and IOS 5 saw a 7 percent loss loss on Wall Street, amounting to nearly $27 billion dollars in lost value for the technology mega-giant.

Ready for iPhone 4S Problems & Complaints? They’re Already Here!
The phone hasn’t been out for even a week and the issues and complaints are starting to pile up. With 4 million devices sold so far these complaints don’t seem like a lot to me. I was even surprised to hear that most people weren’t seeing crashed websites when trying to pre-order their new phones. I’m going to skip the pre-order issues because that is something entirely different that I don’t even want to get into at the moment. Read the rest of this article…
