It seems everywhere I turn, these days, someone is trying to put their hands in my pockets. From games on Facebook to games on my Android to games on my Xbox, this is really starting to silly.

BlackBerry PlayBook Review

This has been a long time coming, mainly because I don’t like to talk bad about products but I finally made myself write this review. I’m not saying this is the worst thing in the world. In fact this tablet could be on my favorites if they just fixed some issues. Read the rest of this article…

Are You Prepared For The Zombie Apocalypse?

As many are aware, Ali Khan – the Assistant Surgeon General – released a blog post through the Centers for Disease Control a few months ago in which he discussed being prepared for a zombie apocalypse.

While most of the people who read that post probably scoffed and thought “What a bunch of hogwash”, the CDC is super serious about making sure we’re prepared for any serious emergency.

The Indie Game Quick-Pick Vol. 1

The Indie Game Quick-Pick Vol. 1

In a world where Call Of Duty replicas rule the gaming industry, many have been called to stand up for creativity, originality, and humor to develop inspiring or creepy video games. FleshEatingZipper will spread the good word of indie gaming, whether it be awesome or not.

Sometimes simplicity wins over complexity. Sometimes. Today I will be showcasing three different web-based indie games that strive on it’s simplicity. You won’t need a controller or joystiq. You won’t need the latest and greatest graphics card. And lastly, you won’t find violence, sex, or illegal substances in these games. If that sentence didn’t eliminate 85% of our readers, I don’t know what will. I digress — these three games struck a cord with me. Perhaps it’s the odd and unconventional stories the developers wrote. Before I go any deeper and alienate even more readers, let’s jump into the first game! Read the rest of this article…

Movie Review: Grave Encounters

Movie Review: Grave Encounters

Let’s get one thing straight, I was looking forward to this with high hopes because of the silent praise the film was receiving, much like Paranormal Activity. Written and directed by The Vicious Brothers, this bastard child of The Blair Witch Project and House on Haunted Hill provides less scares then both combined, not only that but it’s a steaming pile of rat shit, and that rat was the best actor in this movie. Review: Immortals Saga: Immortal

When I first picked up this book up I was worried. I normally avoid books done by small publishers because I’m hardly ever impressed with them. Immortal by Allison Cassatta, however, was a different story. From the first page on my attention was caught, the book is marketed as a paranormal romance, but really there is so much more to it. P90X2 Will Slim You And Your Wallet

As a P90X alum, it’s fair to say that I am excited for the next iteration of pain and sweat. The mere fact that the series has blown up across the country and world like a wild fire shows how awesomely it works. For those individuals like me, you’re probably bored of P90X (and P90X+) and want something more…challenging. Beachbody, the mother company that watches over anything P90X related, has just the solution for us — but for a price that might make your wallet smaller than your waist. Find out more after the break!

Hardware Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab (7″ model)

Hardware Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab (7″ model)

Tablets, tablets, tablets! We live in a renaissance age for slate computers, ushered in by Apple’s iPad and followed up by… well, miles and miles of desolate wasteland. The New York Times recently did a study amongst current and potential tablet owners with nearly 95% of respondents hopping excited to own an iPad. The next closest option, the HP TouchPad, held out at a mere 10%. But why is there such a disparity, even when Android trounces Apple in smartphone marketshare? The answer is plainly obvious with Samsung’s original 7″ Galaxy Tab, a lazily-upscaled version of their original, and crazy popular, Galaxy S phones.
