Happy Team America Reference Day!

Happy Team America Reference Day!

It’s that time of year again where friends and families join to celebrate the old Red, White, and Blue by watching fireworks, BBQing, and quoting just about every line from Team America: World Police. I’m not sure what gets old faster, a 30 minute firework show, that one annoying neighbor who continues to talk to you even though your body language is screaming “get away”, or that guy yelling, “America, Fuck Yeah!” while chugging a Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

Nevertheless, stay safe out there and remember: the founding fathers of this great nation fought for our freedom to celebrate this and any day however retarded it might just be. The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered… deeply…finally…and…who am I kidding? AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!

Google is many things: the ubiquitous search engine for the entire world, an insanely popular e-mail client, the most popular mobile platform of the future, on and on. One thing Google is not, however, is very artistic. Little Google logo doodles aside, their products are plotted, drafted, and executed by waves of engineers and their utilitarian – or worse, inconsistent – interfaces are hardly anything to fawn over. But 2011 is a new year and the internet is being shown the new face of Google, but are they finally getting it down?

We Chat With Hal Halpin About The Supreme Court Ruling

If you haven’t met Hal Halpin yet, you should. He’s, first and foremost, a great guy, but secondly he’s also the founder and head honcho of the Entertainment Consumers Association, an entity that represents video gamers with the government and other entities. The ECA has been busy in the past few months educating and encouraging gamers to petition their politicians about Brown v. EMA, the lawsuit regarding a law in California that would’ve penalized retailers for selling violent video games to minors. We reached out to Hal on his thoughts on what is perhaps the most important ruling on electronic entertainment ever.

Movie Review: Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

I did not like Transformers 2. No sir, I did not. I’m gonna be up front: you’re not reading this review to make up your mind regarding the third outing by Michael Bay into the wild frontier of licensed morphing mechanical toys. You’ve already made that decision. At this point, I’m only here to reinforce your opinion either way in an articulate and amusing manner. So here it goes: is Dark Of The Moon better than the second film? Yes. Is it a good film? No.
