RunKeeper May Be My New Favorite App, Demotivated Walkers Unite!
Plenty of stats keep you informed on what’s going on during your exercises.
I’ve mentioned it before, but I am big, fat, and lazy. At the tail end of my retail career, I walked two miles each way to and from work on top of almost ten miles in store, so you can see I got plenty of walkin’ on. Of course, in the two and a half years of call center work that followed, I dematerialized into a pile of human-like goo and grew to a terrible size. Merely scaling the stairs to get into my building would cause me to start huffing and puffing, to say nothing of those in worse condition than I who had been with the company for a decade-plus. Well, with my new job here at FleshEatingZipper, I knew I wanted to change that and I’ve enlisted RunKeeper to help me get back into shape.

New Far Cry 3 Patch Includes Enhancements to Both Single and Multiplayer
I am the master at games, hahahahahahahaha!
In December I played a game in the Far Cry series for the first time, Far Cry 3. We really liked the game and I beat it on the most difficult setting. It was hard at first but as I became more awesome with upgrades and better weapons, I became an unstoppable force sniping bad guys with the bow from more than 100 yards away. I disappointed myself if I set off any alarms while taking down an outpost and would usually revert to a previous save and try again. I really don’t know where I’m going with this so I will just jump into the new patch details. Read the rest of this article…
SimCity Servers Still Down – Rage Nearing Critical Levels
Sim City? More like Sim SHITTY, right now…Fix the servers!!!
Yeah, that’s right…The SimCity servers are still experiencing massive issues.
I downloaded the game earlier this evening, moved some stuff with Nick and Kelly and then settled in for din-dins, at which point I figured I’d fire up the game and start off building my city whilst I enjoyed a nice burger, smothered in jalapenos and tasty bacon.
Well, the burger was great. The game playing, however, is non existent.

EU Fines Microsoft $730M Because 15M Europeans Couldn’t Figure Out How To Download Another Browser
People who use Windows in Europe get to see this.
For those of us in America, this all might seem a little silly. The European Union brought up an antitrust case against Microsoft a few years ago – much like how our government struck out at them in the late nineties – because they were bundling Internet Explorer with Windows. While the charges were ultimately dropped in the US, the EU continued to have a problem with it, so in 2009, Microsoft agreed to pay a massive $1.2 billion in fines and install a variant of the browser ballot you see above for users starting up Windows. Microsoft’s only problem is that it didn’t work for some people, an estimated 15 million people at the determination of the EU, and now Microsoft is back in the hot seat.

Google+ Makes Cover Photos Super Huge, Is Perhaps Compensating For Something
There are so many ‘that’s what she said’ jokes to roll at this point that I’ll just pass.
Okay, seriously. I just snapped a screen of our Google+ profile for that article I wrote and Google is now boosting the size of their Cover Photos considerably. I understand the need to iterate on a social network, especially one that’s so far behind the titan of the industry, but c’mon.

[RUMOR] The iPhone 5S Is In Production Right Now For August Release
Well, it’s newer.
I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise now that the iPhone release schedule has been righted following the release of the 4S, but rumors are going around that the iPhone 5S (the “tock” iteration of the major upgrade) is being produced on a component basis at this very moment. Screens, frames, antennae, everything – all are being prepared for a late summer release, which fits in line with the 4S and 5 launches.

‘Soda Drinker PRO’, A Game In Which You Drink Soda, Enters Steam Greenlight
It’s, like, art, man.
Tell me in advance if your mind can handle this: Soda Drinker PRO is an FPS (First-Person Soda) that might be far more of an existential meditation than you could ever possibly imagine. Someone up high was impressed enough to load it onto Steam’s Greenlight slate, a prestigious place for an indie developer because getting selected means being sold through the Steam store without a bunch of industry relations. If it gets picked up, a further 100 levels are promised. That’s right, that’s a total of 105 levels of soda-drinking ecstasy.

Some concept art from the new Torment, a peek into something grand.
I’m pretty sure the guys over at inXile Entertainment are just as blown away as I am. Comprised of many Interplay employees responsible for some of that company’s greatest role-playing games at the end of the nineties, including former Interplay CEO Brian Fargo, inXile set out today to raise funds for a new RPG based in the Planescape: Torment lineage, a game critically hailed for its deep narrative, called Torment: Tide of Numenera. Well, it’s not even 10AM at the FEZ Palace and it’s already over half-way to its $950,000 funding goal.
