‘Strip Search’ Recap: Season 1, Episode 14 “Game On”

Amy’s playing Miss Reality Show in this episode.

After last week’s big WTF?! moment, watching the contestants react to Lexxy strut back to the house was truly something else. Interestingly enough, we see the first real attempt by the series to show off any drama when the stakes have been pretty low so far.

New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Trailer Reveals Somber Kirk, Super Enterprise

What a big, uh, ship you have.

Guys, we’re getting really close to the release of that Star Trek movie, so it makes sense that the release content is hitting a fevered pitch. Building on the last trailer, we’re really starting to see the story come together, piece by piece, before our eyes and that makes me so much happier than the debut tease.

New ‘Gears Of War’, ‘God Of War’ Sequels Sell Poorly, Highlight Lame Duck Year In Console Gaming

‘Judgment’ just wasn’t enough.

According to Cowen & Company, the latest installments of Microsoft and Sony’s biggest franchises failed to impress. Selling less than a quarter and a third of their last games respectively, Gears of War Judgment and God of War: Ascension seem to highlight a low-ball commitment from the two platform holders to their current generation of consoles as new consoles loom over the holiday end of the calendar-something they must’ve learned from Nintendo.

Windows 8 To Go Back In Time, Add Start Menu And Desktop Launch? Really?

The future, mysterious…

Word coming across the intertubes today is that with Microsoft’s new Windows 8.1/Blue upgrade, some options can be toggled to revert the OS to a more primordial form. This despite all the headway Microsoft had to make bringing Windows 8’s “OS on top of an OS” aesthetic to life and communicating it to the customer. Well, apparently Windows 8 is being flagged as the reason why PC sales are dying, so Microsoft’s gotta react somehow, right?

Kmart Will Have You Shipping Your Pants When You See Their Ad, Too

They are both shipping their pants at this very moment.

Don’t you remember Kmart, the happy-go-lucky department store with the Icees and the exclusive Martha Stewart houseware? Long before Walmart sprung up around my neighborhood, we were in that store at least once a week. They’ve seen better days as their store count shrinks, but it’s this little heap of sunshine that reminds us of that scrappy underdog that’s still… around.

Oh, Wow: People Seriously Believe The Boston Marathon Bombing Was A Government Job

The marathon is going to be a lot different going forward.

We’re not even hours into the wake of the terrible events at today’s Boston Marathon and we’re already being redirected to a political debate of the most absurd proportions. Because some possess this terribly dark side of their souls, they’re framing the tragedy as a ‘False Flag’: a shoehorn for the government to institute Martial law. I cannot possibly express in words how insulting and moronic this notion is.

VEGA Conflict (PC) Preview: The Ultimate Space MOMCOT

Yeah, I’m about to knock off this transport of Zynthium. Watcha gonna do about it?

The bright spot of any MOMCOT is that it’s the ultimate part-time game. You can pick it up for five minutes every few hours and be done with it. Sure, it’s more efficient to fall into a regular schedule of farming/mining/harvesting your food/crops/minerals, but you can have a sincere ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with a MOMCOT. VEGA Conflict, now in beta, is a space-based MOMCOT that dares to defy convention, if only ever slightly, to capture my interest. Frankly, I love me some space games, so after a few days with VEGA, I’m happy to give my report.
