Entertainment Software Association To Teach Parents About Ratings And Parental Controls

In what I can only refer to as shocking, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) today announced that they are going to be conducting a national public education campaign aimed at teaching parents about the video game rating system and the parental controls they have available to them.
When I say it’s shocking, I don’t say it for the reason you think I do.
Tomb Raider (PC) Review: Good To Go Or Does It Blow?

Square Enix asked me to review Tomb Raider for the PC and, of course, I gladly accepted the chance to get my hands on one of the more anticipated titles of the year. We were really hot for this one at E3 and I’ve spent the whole year hoping that this was going to be as good as all of the trailers and emails and commercials made it out to be.
So I gave it a play through…And now, the answer to the question:

SimCity Servers Still Down – Rage Nearing Critical Levels
Sim City? More like Sim SHITTY, right now…Fix the servers!!!
Yeah, that’s right…The SimCity servers are still experiencing massive issues.
I downloaded the game earlier this evening, moved some stuff with Nick and Kelly and then settled in for din-dins, at which point I figured I’d fire up the game and start off building my city whilst I enjoyed a nice burger, smothered in jalapenos and tasty bacon.
Well, the burger was great. The game playing, however, is non existent.

I don’t know what it is about these guys that makes them think they need to smash me with email after email every time they make a little change to the way they do things but they continue to do it.
I was told today, repeatedly, that EA is changing the way people are going to log in to SWTOR. I figure that since I got ALL THE EMAILS, other people may have missed theirs so I’ll share the info with you here.
Tomb Raider Now Available – Review Is Imminent
I’m pretty sure that’s not ketchup she’s covered in.
As of about 42 minutes ago, Tomb Raider is now available to the public…Unless, that is, you shop at Tesco, who broke street date and started selling the game early…
I don’t know why companies keep doing that…I mean, you’d think getting busted and not getting any games for a while would outweigh the few extra dollars you’d make.

The age of the MMOFPS is upon us
It seems like we’re entering the age of the Massive scale FPS. For years, the MMORPG has dominated the world of multiplayer gaming but now, we’re getting more and more first person shooter MMO’s and they are looking more and more refined, all the time.
It started a while back with the release of Planetside. After that was World War II online and then several other came along. Recently we’ve had Planetside 2 release from Sony Online Entertainment, Defiance from Trion Worlds will be releasing soon and now Square Enix has announced the open beta of Heroes and Generals; a WWII based FPS that’s looking SUPER HOT.

I don’t even know where to begin talking about the craziness that is KSP. The folks over at Squad have hit this one out of the park, and the game is still in ALPHA. Version 0.18.4 is what I have here and it’s already hot.
The deal is, you get to build rockets, space stations, space planes, etc…, then you get to launch them, fly them, set them up in orbit, buils lunar bases, explore the galaxy and generally have a blast…off…

Rift: Carnival Of The Ascended Trailer

Rift has announced their second anniversary will kick off with the Carnival of the Ascended and Rift update 2.2, which includes a new PvP Warfront mode, additional Planar Attunement tiers, extra collectibles and items, and subscriber bonuses.

MOAR Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 – With Gameplay Footage
A short time back I wrote about Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, and how I’m really looking forward to it coming out. I had a lot of fun with the original Sniper: Ghost Warrior and with the sequel promising to deliver more visceral realism, hotter missions and heaps more headshooting action.
I’m pretty psyched…And today, we got an email with a nice bit of gameplay footage for the title.
