2) Funk, and I don’t mean George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics, either.

This is another thing I noticed right away. The Oculus Rift gets FUNKY after being used for a bit. The foam padding soaks up sweat and dirt and anything else it comes into contact with and when I was playing with them, I had some issues. The guys at Soundself had their Oculus unit well sorted out and I didn’t notice any bad smells but the guy who made the game recital…Well, his unit smelled like pot smoke and stale sweat…So, basically like someone smoked so much pot they pissed themselves, then sat on your face.

There are many types of foam padding on the market which are non-absorbent and would fix this problem. I hate to think what the unit would smell like after a few marathon sessions of Star Citizen so they’re going to need to come up with an alternative.
