Samsung Just Called Out Every iPhone Owner, Including Me
Samsung just launched their new advertising campaign called The Next Big Thing is Already Here. “The campaign highlights the concept that the Galaxy S II is considered by consumers as the smartphone of choice. The advertisement places current Galaxy S II owners outside long lines for another leading smartphone. When the Galaxy S II user compares the sleek design, large screen, 4G speeds and breadth of apps and content against the competitor’s phone, the consumers standing in line begin to show signs of regret and remorse over the smartphone they’re waiting for. The campaign concludes with the message that ‘the next big thing is already here’ in the competitive smartphone market.” That’s from Samsung oh and that competitor, yeah you know it’s the iPhone. From Galaxy S’s To Droids, Why Do People Root Their Android Phones?
With Android phones now controlling the smartphone marketplace, the intense, underground discussion about stuff like ‘rooting’, ‘ROMs’, and an alphabet soup of other acronyms just gets bigger. Many people with these phones are sitting on a virtual gold mine of customization and power they’re not even aware of. It’s not difficult to do, you don’t need to solder any wires, it’s all in the software, but when you’re on your own trying to understand how to modify your phone, hopping from forum to forum and keeping a half dozen videos open at a time trying to get it done it can be overwhelming. Once accomplished though, you can become invincible. INVINCIBLE. So we at FleshEatingZipper present an introduction to the Android nubs’ personal journey through the wonders and pitfalls of phone modification. Frankly, this is the beginner’s guide I wish I had when I started experimenting on my phone.
No One Is Buying Chromebooks
Imagine buying an iPhone and it had one app: Safari. Imagine buying a Windows-based netbook and as soon as you entered your credentials, you were ushered to a full screened version of Internet Explorer from which you could never leave. I’ve had some great times with my own Chromebook, an original CR-48 model, but let’s be fair: I got it for free. It turns out that both Acer and Samsung have both had a hard time selling the devices and it’s not very hard to see why.
E-PARASITE Act/SOPA: What They Are And Why They Must Be Stopped
Don’t you remember Napster in its original run? That watershed moment when Shawn Fanning and a few college-aged friends changed the face of mass media forever by allowing people to quickly and easily share music at a time when most people were on dial-up and a song took nearly an hour to acquire? Then the RIAA came along and stomped the hell out of it, ironically forcing the creation of even more, harder to trap networks that worked quickly to diminish the value of the commercial music industry it represented. You may have heard a bit about E-PARASITE or the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) lately, but you may not know what it is. Basically, this is the RIAA (music) and MPAA’s (movies) latest attempt to trap the entire internet to prevent piracy of its content. It cannot be allowed to pass.
Google Music: Are They Under-Achieving Again?
Honestly, I think there’s a market for Google Music, I just don’t know what it is. I enjoyed the service when I reviewed it this past summer for what it was: a cloud-based warehouse to stream your music from. But now that Google is really bringing its service to the world after a private beta for the price of free, it leaves me to wonder if they’re bringing their A-game to music or if they’re just wanting a slice of the pie to have their name on it.
Electronic Cigarettes – Continued. The Technology Behind The Technology.
Electronic Cigarettes, as I stated before, are starting to get big. Ego-T’s, Joye 510’s and many other brands and models are showing up all over the place, more and more frequently. My buddy Steve K from Steve K’s Vaping World read the article I posted a week or so ago and wanted to write a supplemental. Well, after all the traffic we got on the last article and all of the people that thanked me for the information, I jumped at the chance to have him do a guest spot.
Besides, I’ve known the guy since before either of us was able to legally buy cigarettes. How could I turn down my boy?!
Well, now I have the final product from Steve and I’m posting it here for all of you. I’ve also taken the liberty of adding some editorial comments in, which will appear in this kind of odd shade of reddish-orange.

New Netflix Tablet Design Released
Netflix announced that it has a new design for Android tablets available right now. They are doing this because of the Kindle Fire and NOOK tablet that’s coming out. The iPad app is coming soon, probably in the approval stage or they just don’t care about us Apple fan boys. Read the rest of this article…
Facebook Hackers Posting Invisible Porn To Your Profile? NOPE!

Microsoft Takes Windows Phone 7 on the Road
Windows Phone 7 has launched over a year ago but many people still have no idea what it is exactly. Microsoft is looking to change that. They are currently on a country wide tour of major cities to show people exactly what makes Windows Phone so special. On Monday, they were in NY and held an exciting event I was able to attend that in my opinion, has been one of the best marketing events they have done for the phone operating system since its inception. Click to see why…
