Jack and Jill Sweeps the Razzies Winning Every Award

If you haven’t heard of the Razzies before, it’s a spoof of the Academy Awards that started in 1981 to honor the worst in film from 1980. You don’t want to win a Razzie because that means you suck. Well Jack and Jill/Adam Sandler won every category. Lets break that down. Read the rest of this article…

Wrath of the Titans Review: “There’s More to Life Than Gods and Titans”

Wrath of the Titans Review: “There’s More to Life Than Gods and Titans”

A man with no personality embarks on a quest to save a bunch of douchebags in Wrath of the Titans by Jonathan Liebesman, the sequel no one particularly asked for to the remake no one particularly wanted. With brilliant CGI, a fine cast of veteran actors, and an absolutely wretched screenplay, Wrath perfectly embodies all of contemporary Hollywood in one film. This film is neither good nor terrible, just aggressively mediocre. All spectacle and no heart.

Do You Love Wheat Thins? Of Course You Do.

Do You Love Wheat Thins? Of Course You Do.

Sometimes I need a snack that’s thin, made of wheat, and comes in several flavors that fall right in my tasty wheelwell. Triscuits are great, but they’re too thick. Fruit By The Foot is great, but it’s not made of wheat. Something else that isn’t flavorful enough simply isn’t flavorful enough. Wheat Thins, which I keep typing as ‘Wheat Things’, are surprising in their depth. You eat a few of them and you feel like you’ve had a great experience. You know what goes great with Wheat Thins? Mass Effect 3 – Rob Speaks Out. Also, Mini-Review

Let me start this off by saying that I have been a loyal, almost rabid fan of the Mass Effect franchise. Between the first and second installments I have played the games through at least 20 times.

When the third title released, I had high hopes for it. I was chomping at the bit to get out in the galaxy and whip some Reaper ass.

So what did I think about it? Continue on and find out.

Angry Birds Space Review: The Best One Since the Original

Like all the cool people in 2009, I was glued to my iPhone playing Angry Birds. The game where you MURDER pigs with birds that make cute sounds as they fly in the air was all the talk of the internet and if you didn’t have an iPhone, lol, you were not cool and playing Angry Birds. Rovio has made other version of Angry Birds but they have all been the same thing with just new birds and even though I bought them all, they were just a rehash of the original. That is until, Angry Birds Space came out. Read the rest of this article…

A Dangerous Method Review: Sex and Cigars

David Cronenberg films come in two flavors: explicitly sexual and explicitly gory. Sometimes those distinct flavors mix and you get something explicitly sexual AND gory. Psychosis and sadomasochistic sex find their way into the itinerary in A Dangerous Method starring Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen, and Keira Knightley. Possibly Cronenberg’s most restrained film yet, this movie will probably only be of interest to admirers of Sigmund Freud or Carl Jung.

Is Facebook’s Timeline Erasing Your History?

Now that everyone has Facebook’s latest Timeline layout, an expansive format that allows you to dip back all the way to your birthday, it’s easier to get a feel for what works and what doesn’t. I had some complaints about it when it originally launched for developers back in September and while few have been addressed and many others can be looked over, there’s one critical flaw to Facebook’s Timeline that I honestly didn’t realize until now: Facebook is more than happy to leave out a lot of your special moments to condense the look.

I Can’t Stop Playing Minecraft

All it takes is a mention, my mind fills with possibilities. Crazy structures, incredible palaces, wonderful towns to explore and lots of mining. Lots and lots of mining with little more to keep me going than the promise of rare or essential minerals to assemble my next project. Once I get the Minecraft bug, it’s like a maddening fever: intense, with an eventual cure. Right now, I got the fever, Minecraft fever, and I know I’m not alone.
