NOOOOOOOOO, Not Marble Blast Ultra!!!!!

It couldn’t have happened to a better game: Marble Blast Ultra, the best marble simulator/platformer ever released is now gone forever.

Well, maybe not forever, but indefinitely.

IE10 Platform Preview, Uggghhh…

Didn’t Microsoft just release IE9? Well get ready for IE10 with native support for HTML5 and CSS3! Microsoft makes such a big deal with browser releases because they still haven’t copied Chrome and how they just update you without telling. So we are going to have a 5th version of IE that is supported, yay! Download and video demo after the jump. Read the rest of this article…

Movie Review: Hanna

Movie Review: Hanna

This review was provided by guest contributor Dad.

Beware readers – I pick nits. Hanna was good, but not great. It is a fun movie if you enjoy dumb action movies. You’ll come out of it thinking you’ve done something cerebral. There are several points that had the crowd laughing; and few well-telegraphed scenes aside, it was relatively safe for my eight year old to come along and see it with the Lovely Wife and me. The Chemical Brothers provide an entertaining soundtrack. Go see it, have fun, and try not to think too hard. You’ll have a good time :)

Movie Review: Arthur

Movie Review: Arthur

Ladies and gentlemen (mostly the latter), I have fallen in love with a woman. Everyone always says they know ‘hotter chicks’ down at the local grocery store/commissary/strip club, but they peak in one area: shallowness. In this film, I have met a woman I could love until I died. Or my heart fell out, although that would surely lead to… whatever. Anyway, my point is that this woman is magic. In the real world, she’s known as Greta Gerwig. In this piece, she’s known as Naomi. And she’s a hero. Of my heart.

Nick’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2011!

This year’s been pretty flat in terms of new music. The new Strokes was aight, there hasn’t been any good indie rap, and I’ve been feeding on a lot of leftovers I looked over from previous years. But, the rest of the year? Looking pretty sexy…

The House of Representatives Wanted to Know if the Government Was Shutdown

The House of Representatives Wanted to Know if the Government Was Shutdown

This is one of those LOL stories. Zach Seward, a WSJ editor, created the website isthegovernmentshutdown.com. That’s not the funny thing though. What’s funny is the top 10 ISP’s for traffic, #9 was the ISP for the House of Representatives. In the top 50 referral traffic were the following government agencies: the Senate, the Navy, Homeland Security, the Justice Department and Health and Human Services.

Minecraft Becomes Real Game on 11/11/11

When I was unemployed, and still poor, Kelly convinced me to finally plunk down the fifteen Euros (or whatever it is in real, American currency) for Minecraft. I had played the web-based version some months prior and I thought it was cute, but it wasn’t very fulfilling just playing by myself. Kelly put up a server and we began to build a massive fort, populating it with junk like elaborate spiral staircases, gardens, and so on. With nothing better to do, I was up until five or six in the morning on more than one occasion crafting, mining, building, mining, crafting, building…
