Charlie Sheen Bombed in Detroit for Tour Debut ‘My Violent Torpedo of Truth’

I guess the people that we’re buying the tickets didn’t watch Sheen’s Korner or anything else that he put out on USTREAM because they we’re a little upset in Detroit. I can understand with the ticket prices the way they were, meet and greet was $750/ticket if I remember correctly, some people were buying them on Craigslist for up to $500/ticket. The biggest complaint was that it was boring, duh, and there were a lot of video clips, etc. Read the rest of this article…

Entourage Final Season Starts July 24th!

I’m sad and happy at the same time. Entourage season 8 will premiere Sunday, July 24th at 10:30pm on HBO, but it seems like the end is too soon! I think I started watching it while the fourth season was airing and instantly fell in love with the characters and the story.

Movie Review: Source Code [NOW WITH 30 SECOND VIDEO REVIEW!]

Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhall) comes to on a rolling train. The woman opposite him (Michelle Monaghan) thanks for him for the good advice. What good advice? Who is this girl? Within 8 minutes, he and the hundreds of others on their train are killed by the cascading explosion from a bomb in their cab. Irony, thy name is Sonic

Irony, thy name is Sonic

So…

After the movie today I was a bit peckish and stopped in at Sonic to grab a bite and noticed the new hot dog menu they have. On that menu there was an item called the “All American Dog” which is pictured above.

I just want to point out that there’s precisely nothing about this which is American.

The hot dog itself is also known as a frankfurter; a type of sausage developed in Frankfurt, Germany.
The sweet pickle relish, aka “pickle chutney” has its origins in India.
The mustard is from France, developed by a bunch of monks, after getting some mustard seed from the Romans.
The ketchup is derived from a spicy Chinese sauce called “Ké Tsiap (茄汁)”
And then there’s the onions. I didn’t even bother to research those but I think it’s fair to say we didn’t invent those, either.

It was damned good, though.

What’s in a name? That which we call a hot dog, by any other name would taste as yummy.

Movie Review – Sucker Punch

When the movie first started, and through the first main sequence, I was delighted with the thoughts of how bad I was going to slaughter this movie when it came to review time. I even sent the staff a message saying “This movie sucks balls” and commenting that the stunning visuals and great sound basically amounted to wallpaper in a shithouse.

Then, I got it…

Sony Online Entertainment Consolidates, We Wonder Why It Didn’t Happen Years Ago

Sony Online Entertainment Consolidates, We Wonder Why It Didn’t Happen Years Ago

Before Minecraft, CityVille and World of Warcraft, there was another gaming sensation that we gathered over for our massively-multiplayer experiences: that game was EverQuest. My dad played the game from its beta in March of 1999 and for its time, it was an incredibly fun experience that also looked really good, too (it was one of the first PC games that required a 3D accelerator). Well, it seems that in light of the fact that Sony Online Entertainment never found a suitable replacement for the franchise, word is going out that three of their five studios and two hundred jobs are being nixed.
