Zune Is Dead! Long Live Zune!
Today, the news is finally rattling out that Microsoft is retiring Zune. As you may know, I have a certain affinity for the device. Being a long-time iPod fan by the Zune’s debut in 2006 (with a dead iPod, mind you), I vowed that as soon as Microsoft brought an MP3 player to market, I’d be on it. And I was. So what’s in the future for Zune?

It looks like it started a little panic over there with people checking news websites and social networks to see if the news was true. This is Why You Can’t Get Your Hands on an iPad 2
Reuters is reporting that an analyst from Wedbush Securities said “We would not be surprised to see Apple sell closer to 1 million iPad 2’s in the opening weekend.” This is amazing for Apple since it took 28 days for the first iPad to reach 1 million sales. The iPad 2 went on sale at 5PM locally at Apple stores, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Verizon Wireless and AT&T stores. Thousands and thousands of people lined up across the country to get their hands on one. Read the rest of this article…
AT&T To Tighten Broadband Data Vice
Shucks, I guess it was only a matter of time before AT&T implemented it’s wireless data cap idea towards their DSL and U-Verse broadband service. Starting May 2nd, customers using AT&T’s DSL will only have 150 GB to work with while U-Verse customers get an additional 100 GB clocking in at a pathetic 250 GB per month. A fee of $10 will be added if the cap is surpassed more than three times in three separate months. AT&T says that only 2 percent of DSL users will be affected considering that the typical internet jocky uses around 18 GB a month. Right… Read the rest of this article…
Sprint Will Pay You To Switch To Them ($125 To Be Exact)
You read that right. Sprint will pay you $125 if you port your number from another carrier essentially splitting most ETFs in half. I’ve been a Sprint user for about 8 years now and have often attempted to preach to friends and friends of friends about the joys of the company. Already having some of the lowest prices in the industry currently and the most well established 4G network (though admittedly the WiMax future may not look so bright), as long as one has good service in their city of choice I think Sprint is one of the most compelling cell phone providers on the market today. The following review was written by guest contributor Sam.
Japan’s Meiji era was supposed to be a time of peace, but Japan’s shaky government had enemies, easily silenced by assassins. Trust and Betrayal is the bloody-as-hell prequel to the fun loving anime series known as Rurôni Kenshin.

Square Enix Shuts Down Game Servers, Shuts Down Nerd’s Life
If you thought the huge explosion and radiation leakage from the Fukushima nuclear plant was big, clearly you didn’t see the press release from Square Enix. Starting this week, servers for FINAL FANTASY XIV, FINAL FANTASY XI, and PlayOnline will be temporarily suspended. Additional features like friend lists, community site registration, and anything to do with PlayOnline, will forfeit in order to help conserve power. You know, to save energy for water and heat. Ok, that doesn’t matter but the good news is that you won’t have to pay for the month of April.
Yeah it’s a real bummer you won’t be able to log on any time soon, but hey it could be worse. I mean, what if Blizzard was located in Japan?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gameplay From PAX ’11 East
Some sneaky little guy filmed a portion of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its PAX ’11 East showcase. The short clip specifically deals with hacking, augmentations and the menus. I wish this was as entertaining as Cloverfield. But hey, at least you won’t get motion sickness from it.
