“Glee” Overshadows, Elvis Surrenders.
News has landed that Fox’s hit tv show, “Glee”, has surpassed the King of Rock and Roll on the Billboard Hot 100 charts landing past the 71 mark. The shows songs, which are usually remixes or covers of popular songs, are released each week on iTunes after an episode airs. As of today, 2.8 million albums have been sold in the US alone.
Other artists rolling in their graves: James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and the Beatles minus two.

Skype Will Hire Nokia Engineers
Remember all those Nokia employee’s that walked out? Well they returned to work on Monday but it looks like there may be job cuts over a Nokia. Skype CEO Tony Bates told Yahoo “Our primary engineering focus just so happens to be somewhere between Finland, Estonia and Stockholm, so you can imagine that’s a great opportunity and we’re hiring.”
Looks like it will be an easy transition for some of those engineers that are unhappy with their jobs now. We use Skype when recording our podcasts so we’re not against this.

Motorola Xoom Priced at $799
It looks like we have some solid pricing for the Motorola Xoom. Reuters is reporting that the Verizon 3G and WiFi version will run $799 and the WiFi only will be about $600, probably $599.

The Criterion Collection Rolling out on Hulu
I’ve never heard of The Criterion Collection but they sell and distribute “important classic and contemporary films.” Good news for Hulu because they are launching with 150 films from the collection and most of those are going to be available for Hulu Plus subscribers. Also did I mention they were going to be commercial free? It looks like Hulu may have something to draw in more subscribers because The Criterion Collection’s website lets you stream these movies for $5 a pop or you can pay $7.99/month and watch them whenever you want.

The Big Bang Theory – Smart Is The New Sexy
As I mentioned on the podcast, I’ve been watching the show “The Big Bang Theory” and, let me tell you, I’ve been getting a big kick out of the nerd / hot chick antics.
