Zynga Valued Higher Than Electronic Arts. Yes, You Just Read That.

Per the Wall Street Journal, social games maker Zynga (Cityville, Farmville, Frontierville) has just scored an evaluation of $7-10 billion based on new investments, which trumps the current $6 billion market cap of publicly-traded gaming titan Electronic Arts. Yeah.

I Need to Start Playing Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Again

Every time I walk by my Xbox I want to jump into AC Brotherhood again. Not just because of the single player but the multi-player was pretty fun also. I was always nervous wondering when I was about to get shanked watching as every character was walking right at me or or close to me. One of the downsides to multi-player was the time it took to start a game because there was probably only a couple thousand people playing at any given time. Read the rest of this article…

Parenthood: Not Just For 14-Year Old Girls. Wait, Hang On…

I still can’t tell you why I started watching this show. I have no idea. This is a show for people who love Grey’s Anatomy, not Babylon 5. Or is it? Strangely enough, after getting past the initial, seemingly pretentious marketing, I fell in love with the Braverman family. Of course, it might’ve also been because Erika Christensen is hot.

Posted by on February 14, 2011 at 8:11 pm in Tech

This isn’t good for Best Buy. Sorry Johnny, Mirrors Edge 2 Rejected by EA

This is sad, especially for Johnny. I can hear him crying and we’re in different states. According to Press 2 Play TV, EA was shown a prototype of Mirrors Edge 2 but declined to pursue it, preferring that DICE focus solely on Battlefield 3.

Will we ever see another Mirrors Edge? Who knows…

Activists Decapitate Ronald McDonald Statue

Here’s one for the WTF category: A couple of artists in Helsinki kidnapped a Ronald McDonald statue from a local restaurant and made a video Al Qaeda style demanding McDonald’s to answer two simple question or they would behead the statue and put it on YouTube (videos after the jump).

  1. Why are you not open about the manufacturing process, raw materials and additives used in your products?
  2. How many tons of un-recycled waste you produce per year?

Pandora Filing for IPO

Pandora Filing for IPO

As I’m writing this article, I’m listening to music from Pandora (80’s, 90’s and Today if you’re curious). The other day they filed for IPO, which would make it a publicly traded company on the US stock market. What’s crazy about that is that the site is essentially one page with a Flash player on it and an ad. How can they possibly be making enough money to expect people to want to invest in them? 80 million users is how. Read the rest of this article…

Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Comeback!

Posted by on February 14, 2011 at 8:53 am in Entertainment

It looks like the former Governor of California is looking to come back to movies. He said:

Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today.

I don’t know if this excites me but after watching the above video I order Last Action Hero, Total Recall and Red Heat all on Blu-Ray. I really wanted to get Kindergarten Cop but that’s not on Blu-Ray yet. As a bonus after the jump you can hear me doing my Arnie impersonation… Read the rest of this article…
