New ‘Elysium’ HD (1080p) Trailer With Damon, Foster Is Science-Fiction “For The 99%”
“I’m sorry, that big metal piping is going where?”
Class warfare is taken to an extreme in Neil Blomkamp’s follow up to 2009’s District 9. Dealing once more with oppression by those who have and those don’t, the world’s finest and most -privileged citizens take residence in a massive Stanford torus well above the Earth. Down on Earth? Oh, it’s bad news.

Bob Odenkirk To Helm ‘Breaking Bad’ Spinoff? Better Call Saul!
It would be criminal not to.
Dear AMC,
I worked real hard earlier this year to watch the entirety of Breaking Bad, which is a really good show. In fact, the final eight episodes are my most-anticipated portions of TV this year. It makes sense that after all that money was made and all those hearts set aflutter that you’d want Walter White’s lawyer pal to star in his own spinoff series. You should make this happen with all of your powers.

Do Backwards-Compatible Consoles Matter Anymore?
Will you need to keep your old Xbox around? Probably.
A big question that lingered over the launch of this generation’s consoles was that of backwards compatibility. With their chests puffed huge, showing off PlayStation 3 hardware that was still partially imaginative, Sony announced full compatibility with all previous systems, the PlayStation by emulation and the PlayStation 2 by physically including an Emotion Engine in the hardware. Microsoft had a slightly different tack to getting their recent console working, though.

Guncraft (PC) Beta Preview: Far More Than Meets The Eye
It’s “Block” Gulch. Geddit?
It would be far too easy to cast Guncraft off as a Minecraft-with-guns knockoff. I certainly did. In fact, after the first few matches, you may still do that. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find a pretty clever multiplayer shooter that just happens to use its blocks for all the right reasons. Guncraft pulls from a number of different sources – Worms, Call of Duty, or even Halo – all to such an effective extent that there’s plenty to be happy about.

‘Mega Man’ Was To Become A First-Person Shooter By ‘Metroid Prime’ Guys, Cancelled
Very fast, very deadly…
I won’t snuff out Polygon’s fire here, but they’ve got a helluva scoop. Before Keiji Inafune left Capcom in 2010 – he was the big man behind Mega Man, Lost Planet, and virtually every Resident Evil – he had Austin, Texas-based Armature Games begin work on a first-person reboot of Mega Man called Maverick Hunter. After he left, it went, too.

‘Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon’ Leaked, We Dig Into The Scenario
It’s all neon laser guns until someone gets hurt.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is still nearly a month away, but some lucky PC gamer has managed to acquire the neon-soaked spin-off. The subsequent playtime resulted in a fifteen minute video that made its way around the internet before Ubisoft pulled off some rapidfire takedown actions to suppress it. We managed to snag a copy and give it a look. There doesn’t appear to be any spoilers, so we’ll recap what we can!

Natalia Project Helps To Protect Human Rights Activists With Wrist-Bound Locators
The bracelet is simple and can easily be disguised.
It seems we only hear bad news in regards to human rights activists, as in the case of Natalia Estemirova, who was abducted in Chechnya on July 15, 2009 and brutally murdered. A Swedish organization, Civil Rights Defenders, went hard to work to solve the issue of protecting activists and it looks like they may have come up with some technology that will do just that. ‘Star Citizen’ Talks Customization: This Ain’t No Cookie Cutter MMO
The Hornet. Supremely flexible… with the right parts.
One of the bigger problems with MMO games of all genres has always been customization. What looks like a million customization options in the beginning ends up turning into one or two cookie cutter builds as the game progresses and it becomes clear that one build is vastly superior to the rest of the possible combinations due to game mechanics. Once this happens we realize that we’re stuck with hundreds or thousands of players playing the same character, wearing the same armor and carrying the same weapon as every other character of that type. Fat, Sick, Or Nearly Dead? Well, Do We Have A Documentary For You!
YOU need to check this out.
Like the standard American, we’re pretty soft around the mid-section here at The FEZ Palace. Being fat is something quaint (and something to be picked on for) growing up, but in adulthood, obesity can lead to some pretty drastic health issues. Joe Cross nearly died because of his weight, but he found a solution: juicing. This is his story.
