We’re less than a week out from E3 and lots of rampant speculation has shot out amongst the crowds as to what we’ll see when the conferences begin on Monday morning. There’ll be plenty of information to sift through (and we’ll be helping!), but there will definitely be things we won’t be seeing, so don’t hold your breath. Here are six of those things.

M83’s Top 10 Best Songs

Anthony Gonzalez is now the sole driver of the Good Ship M83 and his journey’s been long and adventurous.

French electronic group M83 has grown a lot since their 2001 self-titled debut, but one thing has always remained consistent: the artistic direction and core of Anthony Gonzalez. Yeah, I gave him some trouble for a pared down soundtrack for Oblivion, but he has a long history of making me excited to start up my music player and plow through the celestial cosmos he weaves through every one of his records. Here are my top 10 favorite songs from the electronica dazzler.

5 Reasons Why Instagram Is Better Than Vine

5 Reasons Why Instagram Is Better Than Vine

Twitter wants your video, but how well does Vine do?

It almost seems like a petty fight, but hours after Vine arrived on Android – finally – we get to see how it really fares against existing social networks (it piggybacks Twitter, but is separate, know what I mean?) like the still new-ish Instagram. Sure, it feels like an apples to oranges comparison, but they’re also similar enough that we can draw severe comparisons and dismiss one entirely. Namely, Vine, because it’s silly.

These Are The Last 5 Movies I Rented On Google Play

Boobs.

It seems silly to put $3-4 a pop down on a movie rental, but when you’re a few winks shy of falling asleep and sitting in bed, sometimes the best thing is to rent a bloody movie. that said, here are the last five movies that I’ve rented from Google’s Play Store. Check it!

Stephen King’s ‘Joyland’ Review: The Carny ‘Wonder Years’

You probably won’t be as shocked as this Hollywood Girl is.

Perhaps if I’d been born two or three decades earlier, I’d be able to rattle off a tale about how I became a helping hand at a little-known amusement park. Through the lens of Stephen King’s easy-to-digest prose and incredibly thorough research, we get to experience what it must’ve been like to ride a train down the eastern seaboard to take up a summer job learning carny talk, minding the rides and “wearing the fur”. In King’s second paperback exclusive, we follow the yarn of Devin Jones, a 21-year old college kid who just wants to forget about the girl who broke his heart.

Dear Over-Qualified ‘Halo 4’ Contractor, Stop Complaining About Grunt Work

QA people unite! Destroy the orb that holds you back!

Dear Nathan (RC) Peters,

I read your op-ed over at Kotaku this morning and I was intrigued. I don’t care much for The Trenches as a comic, but the anecdotes they feature from current and former QA staffers are incredibly interesting; I even know a few. I just have a passion about the adventures of the line-level jockey. That I love games helps things. People are calling you out for your editorial, which amounts to it being little more than sour grapes, but let’s face it: they’re right. There’s simply nothing tragic about your story. Take it from me.

Robotoki Employee Triggers Panic Alarm, Gets Office SWATted

Scary! Credit to Polygon, natch.

I’d fire the guy. “I’m Robert Bowling, former creative lead at Infinity Ward,” I would say, “and you’re coming back to the office to throw all your shit in a box because you’re fired. …no, I won’t write a reference letter.” I’d tell this curious, unnamed game designer at Robotoki that he was done for and his act was incredibly stupid and could’ve gotten someone injured or worse. So what did this guy do? He pressed the company’s newly-installed panic button.
