‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ Can Be Played Solo if You Have No Friends

That’s your map HUD!

You might have friends, but just want to play so solo stuff. Maybe your friends don’t have the game, I get it; that’s one thing that made me nervous about Tom Clancy’s The Division that was announced at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference. Not much is known about the game beyond what we all gathered in the demo, but Ubisoft has posted more details to their blog, including a clarification about its solo mode. E3 2013: ‘Drive Club’ Versus ‘Forza Motorsport 5’ – Fight!

The battle of the cars you just want to lick the pixels off of. Drive Club (left) and Forza Motorsport 5 (right)

With two new platforms come two realistic racers to elevate the artform and show what countless polygons and infinite textures can produce, but much like the platforms that sustain them, Forza Motorsport 5 and Drive Club do quite a bit to distinguish themselves beyond their obvious passion for cars. With my hands on both this past week for an entire lap, I decided to break down the comparison between the two from the small sample Sony and Microsoft decided to give me. With that, let’s investigate!

‘Man of Steel’ Review: Attention Deficit Superman

‘Man of Steel’ Review: Attention Deficit Superman

The action is great, though.

I feel like I owe Christopher Nolan an apology. While the movie-going world jumped all over his nuts about The Dark Knight trilogy and Inception, I merely assumed he was an above average filmmaker who had been lucky enough to surround himself with some top notch talent. Man of Steel proves that assumption wrong. Here’s a movie that boasts essentially the same creative team that has driven all of Nolan’s movies—the only exception is that Nolan neither wrote nor directed this one. And boy, does it show.

The end is drawing near and our three-way elimination is on! Maki, Katie and Abby (all ending in hard Es, of course) have spent the past two months making original comic strips to pitch to Penny Arcade’s Mike and Jerry. Now, they must formulate three more strips based on their new pitches with four hours on the clock. So what did they bring to the stage?

Everything You Want to Know About the Xbox 360 Stingray

Stingray?

At Microsoft’s E3 press conference they announced a redesigned Xbox 360 to look more like the Xbox One design. I thought it was a very strange move but some of the guys here thought it was a cost savings thing for Microsoft. It turns out it wasn’t “we redesigned Xbox 360 to give it a fresh new design and a similar look and feel to Xbox One. Although we’re very excited about Xbox One, we remain dedicated to Xbox 360 now and for years to come.” Read the rest of this article…

E3 2013: 5 Reasons Why Killing Zombies In ‘Dead Trigger 2’ Is Awesome

E3 2013: 5 Reasons Why Killing Zombies In ‘Dead Trigger 2’ Is Awesome

Killing Zombies. Good, old fashioned FUN!

While we were at E3 this year I got a chance to check out a lot of titles from smaller developers. Of those smaller developers, many of them were from the EU, or more specifically, the Eastern part of the EU. Countries like Poland and Russia have been taking the gaming world by storm, cranking out title after title and crossing all of the genres, in many cases putting out games which are every bit as good as some of the “Triple A” titles we get from the big developers and publishers here in the States.

One of those developers is Mad Finger, who not only have a cool name but also make a cool game called Dead Trigger 2 which pits you against hordes of zombies. I have 5 good reasons why kicking zombie ass in Dead Trigger 2 is an awesome thing to do.

E3 2013: ‘Ryse: Son of Rome’ Hands-On – Pretty, but Dumb

Yaaaaaargh!

One of Microsoft’s tent pole action games for the November release of their new Xbox One console is Ryse: Son of Rome. Yesterday I went mono-y-mono with the Ryse demo in Microsoft’s E3 booth, and I found that while the game features some incredible graphics and cinematic visuals, the combat is quite brainless, unfortunately.

E3 2013: “Infamous: Second Son” First Impressions – I’m Buying a PS4 For This

Nice chain, bro.

Unfortunately I never got into the Infamous series of games since I went the Xbox 360 route. I watched friends playing it and thought it looked fun but I stuck with Prototype on my Xbox 360. After watching the gameplay demo today I can say that this sealed the deal for me getting a PS4. Read the rest of this article…
