The 3 Things Which Will Kill The Oculus Rift
Nick checking out Soundself on the Oculus Rift
Today I got a chance to play a couple of games on the Oculus Rift and will have a chance to play more tomorrow. I spent quite enough time to get a really good idea of where the technology is at now and where it will have to go in the future in order to make it. If the technology doesn’t get there, I fear the Oculus Rift is going to fail.
So here are the 3 issues I see which will kill the Oculus Rift at market if they aren’t addressed.

E3 2013: Battlefield 4 Preview – It Will Make You Yearn For Simpler Times
Johnny and I were perusing the South Hall looking for a short line to wait when we noticed EA’s 64 player layout for Battlefield 4 for Xbox One/PS4/PC. With nothing planned for the rest of the day, we decided to jump in on the action. And action is what we got. A lot of it. Read the rest of this article…
E3 2013: Xbox One’s Zumba Is For Men, Too
I had the opportunity to play the Xbox One’s version of Zumba Fitness World Party and I’m not ashamed to admit this factoid. It was also fun to make an ass out of myself in front of everyone. Read the rest of this article…
Xbox One Will Only Work in the 21 Launch Countries
The Xbox name is being tainted :(
Microsoft seems to keep burying itself this year at E3. Confirmed by the Xbox official Twitter and their website, the Xbox One will only work in the 21 launch categories. This is due to the fact that the Xbox One needs to authenticate with Xbox Live every 24 hours. There are other requirements when you buy the Xbox One including waiving your right to class action lawsuits. Read the rest of this article…
‘This Is the End’ Review: The Horror Comedy to End All Horror Comedies?
This is the funniest movie any of these guys have ever appeared in.
The Rapture begins. The worthy are sucked up into Heaven via blue beams of light, and Satan and his forces wreak havoc upon the poor, sinful suckers left behind. That small group includes Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, and Craig Robinson. They’re all playing themselves…or well, versions of themselves. This Is the End sounds like a lame, self-indulgent, inside joke that a pack of pampered celebrities have decided to charge the public for the privilege of viewing, but the flick actually manages to be the funniest comedy to roll out of Hollywood in a long time. Go figure.

E3 2013: ‘Thief’ Will Probably Piss Off Longtime Fans, But That’s Probably Okay – Here’s Why
Tralalala!
The Thief series is a very sentimental set of games for a very passionate group of gamers. A once exclusive to the PC, the games redefined the stealth genre from the first person perspective, adding shades of horror and incredible immersion. Now nearly a decade since the last game, gaming has changed and Thief is changing along with it, but it’s for better or worse depending on how flexible your appreciation for the series is.

E3 2013: Why Did Bungie’s ‘Destiny’ PS4 Presentation Keep Glitching Out? You’d Be Surprised Why…
Bungie’s first gameplay presentation of Destiny didn’t go off without a few hitches…
You can hear some pretty amazing things at E3 if you’re in the right spot. For example, I got to overhear why Bungie’s Destiny presentation at Sony’s PlayStation conference kept having to resort to magic tricks to cover glitches in the game. This was especially troubling after the failure of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV demo that continually froze on-stage. Only thing is: these weren’t glitches. Let me explain what happened.

‘Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2’ E3 2013 Hands-On Hack And Slash Gore Fest
The dark lord summons thee.
I got my grubby mitts on Konami’s new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 today. And bonus, I played as Dracula, the ol’ bloodsucker himself.
The demo starts with Dracula sitting on his throne. He’s wearing a really elaborate outfit consisting of a lot of flowing fabric and a rather impractical belt buckle that covers so much of his midriff that I wonder how he is able to bend at the waist. He’s clearly super bored just sitting there being angsty and drinking blood from a golden goblet. If only someone would attack his castle and give him something to kill. Luckily, a bunch of knights bust down his door and the battle is on. Read the rest of this article…
