Rebuild Review (Android) – Defend Against The Zombie Hordes Without The Towers!
Welcome to the fortress town of Colorado Spring! Yeah, there was a character limit.
As you’ve read before, I’m dying for good strategy games for my my Nexus 7. So along came Rebuild, a turn-based strategy title based on a previously Flash-only game. Up front, Rebuild is a pretty easy recommendation and with a constant requirement to balance your actions as you expand your town into the zombie-infested wilderness, you’ll easily find yourself buried in it, too.

Who Charges More Than $2.99 For Android/iOS Games? Crazy People.
Charging Nintendo DS prices for Android games is absolutely ridiculous.
When I was a kid, I didn’t buy video games. I take that back: I did, but only when Christmas and birthday cash rolled around, but acquiring video games was mostly me nagging my parents to buy them in an era long before I had a job. Of course, back in 1996 new Super Nintendo titles, like the fantastic Yoshi’s Island, were still going for $69.99, which translates to about $100 in modern dollars. Can you imagine paying $100 for a video game these days that wasn’t loaded with tons of online tokens and other cheap tchotchkes? How things have changed…

Total Recall Review: Completely Forgettable
The second adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s We Can Remember It for You Wholesale hit theaters this weekend sporting a larger production budget, boatloads of CGI, and a family friendly PG-13 rating. Len Wiseman’s Total Recall is a better looking, better acted version of Paul Verhoeven’s original Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, but, in the end, it is soulless and unmemorable.

Simulate NASA’s Curiosity Rover Landing In Full 3D Right Now!
Curiosity in final descent, bundled with skycrane.
Ahhhh, space. Isn’t it exciting? With only six hours left before NASA’s latest exploratory rover touches down on Mars’ rustic surface, we’d normally be confined to video feeds from CNN or MSNBC to determine the rover’s progress. But NASA decided to step it up this time around, offering an interactive experience for Curiosity’s last moments.

Oculus Rift Brings Us Virtual Reality’s Future’s Past’s… Now!
This seems fine, but I was kinda pining for the red laser tech in the Oculus.
It makes sense, in my mind at least, that if 3D is (thankfully) dying off, then virtual reality should return to take the helm. I’d written as much last year when it seemed like there was no hope. Well, now there is hope, and it’s called the Oculus Rift, and within one day, it smashed its Kickstarter goal. Smashed it.

As Predicted, SWTOR Is Going Free To Play
SWTOR is going free-to-play. This is not the game you’re looking for.
Months ago, I predicted SWTOR would end up having to go free to play if EA and Bioware didn’t get their act together and sort things out. Yesterday, I wrote an article detailing how I think World of Warcraft has gone a long way toward ruining MMO gaming (to the disdain of many fanboys) and it seems that I’m just scoring bullseyes all over the place.
