Ron Paul: Hurry Up And Win Already

It’s easy to say that Ron Paul is unelectable, because he is. He’s the Conan O’Brien of the GOP race: he can’t win, but we want him to. Meanwhile, a schlub like Gingrich (Jay Leno) or Romney (uhhhh…) is winning over audiences with middle-of-the-road talking points with a flat or conniving character behind it. Let’s me be frank: if Ron Paul can’t win the GOP nomination, then the party doesn’t deserve to win this November against Obama.

BioWare Decides To Shut Down SWTOR Servers…On A Friday Night. DERP! (Updated)
In what can only be described as a 40 pound box of fail, someone at BioWare decided to shut down the game servers for maintenance in the middle of Friday night / Saturday morning play.
I’m not sure who forgot to tell them that they have the highest traffic, on the weekends but…That person should have sent the memo.
Also, not only did they decide to shut down the servers, they also locked the forums, presumably to stop people raging at them.

‘The Grey’ Review – Intense Wintry Survival
You should see The Grey. I wouldn’t say the theater is a necessity, but this is a film to be enjoyed in pitch darkness with a booming sound system. So, yeah, go see it in theaters. As a survival thriller, it suffers from the ‘natch’es of the genre. Like: natch, there’s going to be a diverse cast and they’re going to get knocked off one by one as we wade through the film for various reasons. Natch, there’s going to be a scene around a campfire where we contrive some reason to connect with the principal cast as they’re being knocked off. Natch, jump scares.
So with that out of the way, let’s talk about how The Grey is totally awesome.

Ferris Bueller 2 Trailer On Super Bowl Sunday? Oh, Yeah. (Updated)
Day, bow-bow. That’s right ladies and gents, Ferris looks to be back in action after 20 years (or so). The teaser, which was virally released yesterday, gives us a taste of what to expect on Super Bowl Sunday. And what should we expect but a wonderful, 2 minute trailer of Ferris ditching his grown up job and family to wreck havoc in Chicago with Cameron. Well, hopefully it’ll have more substance than that. Nintendo Announces 2D Mario Game For 3DS. Wait, What?
As Nintendo was briefing it’s lackluster financial results yesterday, president Satoru Iwata quickly announced a brand spanking new Mario title! The untitled game, which is supposed to be in 2D, will be released for the 3DS sometime next year. So let me get this straight. Nintendo is milking the Mario franchise (again) in 2D for an already failing 3D handheld gaming device? And they’re wondering why money’s going down the drain (cue pipe-entrance SFX).
