Movie Review: Stan Helsing

The following review was written by guest contributor Sam.

From the people who brought us Scary Movie comes this horrific spoof. It’s Halloween night and Stan (Steve Howey) is nearing the end of his shift at the local video store, when his boss tells him he needs to deliver videos to the owners house before going to a Halloween party or he’s fired. Stan and his friends miss the turn to get to his destination throwing them in the midst of a ghost town as they are now hunted by famous horror movie icons.

‘Angry Birds’ Flocking Towards Facebook

‘Angry Birds’ Flocking Towards Facebook

If there’s one outlet Angry Birds hasn’t been plastered all over, it’s facebook. All that’s about to change now that the infamous bird on pig game will be available to play on the popular social network this March. Will it be the same game though? Apparently not, based on what Switched found out. The game will use social elements to “collaborate” with users and that the pigs will have a larger role. Great.

Can you imagine having to take turns flinging birds at even more bastardized pigs? Sorry, I don’t have that kind of patience.

Map Of The Internets

It seems like more and more Middle Eastern governments are trying to regulate the internet by turning it off. Right now, people of Libya are fighting to take back their country from Gaddafi. Can you guess what that fugly of a guy ended up doing? Yep.

Which leads me to the question: Does turning off the internet in an entire country affect the rest of the interweb?

Game Review: Prey

Game Review: Prey

I have to admit, Prey and I have had an awful relationship. We met at E3 2005 where she showed off her crazy, world twisting, portal-generating technicals. A year later, we went on a demo date and we made the rounds at least a dozen or two times and I was blown away. When it came to commit at retail though, I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Well, I found her number recently, the price was right ($19.99 on Xbox Games on Demand), and my lifestyle met with hers for a time. Did five years ruin the chemistry?

Leaked Battlefield 3 Gameplay From GDC ’11

That’s right people, we’ve gotten our grubby little hands on some leaked Battlefield 3 footage from this years Game Developers Conference. Since most footage from games are guarded behind curtains at GDC, it takes some rather large juevos to take pictures let alone a 4 minute film.

Many Bothan spies sacrificed their lives for this video.

Surprise! Bungie Is Making An MMO! [Update: Maybe Not?!?!]

We’ve pretty much assumed it for a while now, but at a recent GDC panel, Bungie’s Lead Network Engineer David Aldridge officially unveiled that they’re working on a “massively multiplayer action game” and that it isn’t “WoW in space.” Personally, I’m kinda excited.

Even Microsoft Hates Internet Explorer 6

Even Microsoft Hates Internet Explorer 6

This is a little surprising to me. Microsoft has created the website IE6 Countdown which shows the stats of IE6 usage and pretty much is telling anyone that is still using IE6 to go die in a fire. We at FleshEatingZipper fully support not only upgrading from IE6 but to leave the Microsoft family for a better browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. It’s the future people c’mon now!

Young AmericansKids in America…wait, now it’s called Take Me Home Tonight? Ok, whatever the name is, this movie is like totally retro! The 80’s romantic-ish comedy follows Topher Grace, Anna Farris, Dan Folger and the lovely Teresa Palmer on a radical adventure that you’ll soon forget!
