Android Marketplace To Eclipse iOS App Store By Late Summer
It was due to happen eventually, but in a report by market research firm Distimo (or in an exclusive report by TechCrunch) it has been confirmed that the Android Marketplace will eventually surpass the Apple Marketplace in terms of apps by mid-summer. But how much does it really matter?
Sony Can’t Catch a Break [UPDATED]
Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is down right now. Sony says on their site “In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately.” SOE handles all of Sony’s MMO games like DC Universe, Everquest, Star Wars Galaxies and Planetside. Sony is promising an update later today, we’ll see.
UPDATE: It looks like almost 13,000 credit cards were compromised. Check out the SOE website for more details.
UPDATE 2: Damn Sony, well it looks like it was actually over 24 million credit cards, names, addresses, emails, genders, date of births, login ID and hashed passwords according to the Wall Street Journal…
Twitter Just Bought TweetDeck
Back in February we heard that UberMedia (UberTwitter, EchoFon) was buying TweetDeck for $30 million and today TechCrunch is reporting that Twitter counter offered with $40-50 million. This is smart for Twitter since TweetDeck is widely used and if UberMedia owned them that means they would have the highest market share on how people interact with Twitter. Usually I won’t post rumors but this looks legit, the full announcement is supposed to be in a couple of days.

If you’re like me, someone who owns or owned a smartphone purely for the convienience of always being connected, the ability to use cool apps, and look cool doing so on a sexy device, then you know by default that BlackBerry cannot do any of those very well. White iPhone IS the Same Size as Black iPhone, Calm Down
Man the internet was abuzz when it was said that the white iPhone was thicker after using lead from a mechanical pencil to be the judge, because we all know that those are straight and accurate measuring devices. Well Consumer Reports decided to see if it was true using um, a more professional device. What they found when they used their professional calipers was that it was in fact the same size as the black iPhone. Now case manufacturers can rest assure they don’t need to make two different model cases.

Verizon Puts Sticker On New Phones Warning You That They Do Stuff
