Dragon’s Prophet Beta Signups Still Going. No Word Yet On Beta Start Date
That’s a house…That a player can build and decorate…MMORGASM!
Dragon’s Prophet, which was announced at SOE Live in October has been opened for beta signups for a little over a week now and we have to assume that they’re getting a lot of interest in the game based on the reactions from SOE Live and various articles and discussions around the web.
So what’s the deal with this game, anyway?

Every Apple TV Ad Ever: From “1984” To Siri
Apple made a lot of iPad commercials. Just FYI.
Well, here it is: every single ad Apple ever put to TV. I’m sure it’s not every single one, but with a playlist featuring 485 entries, it’s probably more than you’ve ever known about. Covering a period from 1977 onward, this reveals quite a few surprises, quite a few great ones and a number of bad ones (Will Ferrell pimping Apple products? Huh?). What are some highlights? I’ll explain and include the video below!

Christmas Music – O’ Holy CRAP!
In the meadow, we can build a snow man…Then pretend that he is SHUT THE HELL UP!
Yes, folks, it’s that time of year again. The time when the leftover turkey is dwindling down to nothing, the kiddies are thinking of little else but the time they will be allowed to open all the presents which will be under the tree and, in many parts of the world, the snow is falling and covering everything in a gorgeous white blanket.
And, of course, the radio waves are filled to the brim with Christmas music…

Because They’re Crazy: RED To Offer Player/Marketplace For 4K Ultra-HD Content
It’s ridiculous, but it’s fantastic.
Just as America is transitioning to high-definition – a move that’s taken over fifteen years – the studios and technologists are ready for the next wave of high-resolution displays. I’ve said a few words about 4K, which features four times the pixels of a “Full HD” 1080p display, and how unrealistic it is to have in the home because the size of the display required (or how close you’d need to sit next to it) to even see that many pixels is impractical for anyone. Nevertheless, RED has a solution!

The Collection Review: Bring Out the Gimp!
Gaze into the eyes of cinema’s most forgettable serial killer.
I walked into a showing of The Collection operating under the impression that it was going to be an original horror movie. And yes, I understand the trailer looks like a horribly derivative Saw knock-off starring The Gimp from Pulp Fiction, but I only mean “original” in the sense that I thought this was the first entry in a new franchise. As it turns out, The Collection is a sequel to the 2009 torture porn flick The Collector, which somehow flew under my radar. Writer/director Marcus Dunstan penned both movies in addition to Saw V, Saw VI, and Saw 3D: The Final Chapter. So just to get it all straight: The Collection is a sequel to a derivative knock-off of a bloated, decade old torture porn franchise. That sounds somehow incestuous and wrong. Even for Hollywood.

Killing Them Softly Review: Dying of Boredom
Pictured: Talking. Not pictured: People being killed softly or otherwise.
Let me start by saying that I absolutely love hard boiled gangster movies; Hollywood has produced far too few in the past decade. So with great anticipation I awaited the release of Killing Them Softly. Andrew Dominik, the brilliant director behind the underrated The Assassination of Jesse James reteaming with Brad Pitt to film a violent gangster flick? And Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini are in the cast? What could go possibly go wrong? Well, the film can be a boring, plodding, goddamn mess for starters. Killing Them Softly is only 97 minutes long, but I feel like I just wasted four hours of my life at the cinema.

An iPhone User Switches to Android: Week One
This phone is sexay!
At the beginning of the week I posted my first day experiences with switching from iPhone to my Android, HTC Droid DNA. The main issues I was having were email related and how the stock email app isn’t very clear on setting up multiple emails with different providers. As well as it seemed everyone wants you to use their own email app when I want to use just one. Read the rest of this article…
‘Teleglitch’ Review: Mouse-Tossing Aliens-Inspired Diablo-Like RPG-Shooter [VIDEO]
Old school shootin’ action!
Roguelike. You’ve probably heard the term before, I had to read up on it before doing this review, even, but it’s used to describe a particular kind of RPG. It’s been so long since I’d played a genuine one, way back on dad’s Atari ST, but you’ll find modern descendants like Diablo or Torchlight, In essence, a Roguelike is a dungeon crawler, but pure specimens are insanely difficult and have a more primitive presentation. Teleglitch is the latest addition to this batch of stylistic shooters/RPGs, hailing from a handful of developers who have been working on this for the past three years. It shows, but how does it play?
