Oculus Rift Plus Liquor Is A Special Kind Of Hell, Says Makers

Oculus presents its own set of issues, you don’t need to make those worse!

‘Independence Day’ Sequels Are Exactly What The World Needs

…but we’ve rebuilt!

While we’re talking about Roland Emmerich, the German director revealed that on the precipice of Independence Day‘s 3D re-release in July, back-to-back sequels are in the pipe, although probably further out than we think. Rumored for years, he and co-producer Dean Devlin apparently have had issues securing funding for such movies, which is straight-up bizarre because Independence Day is money.

‘White House Down’ Is ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, But Better? [VIDEO]

There will be helicopters involved in the taking down of our capital. Or aid against. I don’t know.

Yesterday, Sony showed a teaser for Roland Emmerich’s “storm the capital” movie that doesn’t happen to be called Independence Day. Details are really scarce, but comparisons to Gerard Butler’s recent White House thriller are inevitable.

Walmart Testing In-Store Pickup… With Lockers

Needs more lockers.

You know how most brick and mortar retailers have the option to ship your order to the store or have in-store pickup? It makes things easier when you don’t want to wait for your online order to get shipped to you directly. Well, Walmart is now testing this space for their own stores. Read the rest of this article…

Scam Artist Paul Ceglia Doesn’t Own 50% Of Facebook, Says Judge

…and that’s the rest of the story.

Back in October, we talked about Paul Ceglia right as he was being arrested for wire fraud. In one of the weirdest turns in the rise of Facebook’s power, Ceglia declared that Zuckerberg owed him 50% of the company because of a contract related to some work Mark had done for him back in the early days of Facebook. Facebook, in turn, laughed off the case and Ceglia’s claims. So did the forensics experts.

Plague, Inc. (Android) Review: Oh, To Destroy Humanity!

It’s fun to see your terrible creation spread across the land, but this zoomed view is useless beyond the pregame.

I’m not sure how I missed the October release date of Plague, Inc. on Android, but I’m more than making up for it now, right? Trust me, had I known, I would have let you know sooner! Sure, the game isn’t a new concept – having been done by Pandemic 2 in Flash, the version I played years ago – but between some clever showmanship and an incredibly replayable design that fits well on my mobile (except for the battery draining part), you haven’t had this much fun with a virus simulator before. Did I mention it’s free?

GDC 13: ‘Star Trek’ Given Extra Development Time To Match Film, Better Not Be Garbage

To boldly go and such.

The Game Developers Conference, currently ongoing in San Francisco, isn’t a place for media like us to soak in the rays, you have to fight for the insight. This is a place for game developers to share the secrets and give talks after all. Still, Paramount was willing to deliver a little nugget of information in that their upcoming Star Trek game was given a full extra year development to match the release of the film. That’s a lot of faith in a game that, from casual glance, could be construed to be a cheap movie tie-in.
